Description of Course
This  face to face training is designed to provide the participant with detailed hands on and practical knowledge about the roles and responsibilities of  Clinical Research Associates (CRAs).  This training will highlight the monitoring expectations for CRAs according to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs) and the ICH/Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCPs), along with the growing dynamics of applied technology in the management of CRAs' sites, metrics, and deliverables.  As an added benefit, the training will be both observational and interactive. You will gain key insight on how to begin your search for CRA jobs, and how to enhance your chances of being considered for the job.

**  Pre-requisite:  Must have previously completed the All About Clinical Research and ICH GCP Training (Part A) from Solar Biomedical, OR  completed clinical research training program from another institution,  OR  already be working in the clinical research industry.  (Click here to see a list of upcoming pre-requiste classes).   

You will learn about the following topics:

  • The basics of organization and professionalism as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA)
  • Discuss & Demonstrate the importance of the CFRs and ICH/GCP guidelines in monitoring Clinical and Device trials
  • Demonstrate knowledge of each type of monitoring visit and the components involved in each visit.
  • Participation in mock monitoring Initiation, Routine, and Close Out Visits (preparation, monitoring, and follow-up of all visits)
  • Understand the roles of the clinical team.
  • Learn the growing impact of technology on the CRA's job roles
